Registration for Spring 2027 classes at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) is now open. Whether students are beginning college for the first time, returning to finish a degree, preparing for a new career, or working toward a bachelor's degree, UAHT offers affordable, flexible options to help them reach their goals.
UAHT offers more than 55 degree and certificate programs designed to prepare students for university transfer, career advancement, or immediate entry into the workforce. Programs include nursing, business, education, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), welding, diesel technology, HVAC, electromechanical technology, emergency medical services, and many more.
Students looking for flexibility can take advantage of online, hybrid, and evening classes that make it easier to balance college with work and family responsibilities. UAHT offers an Associate of Arts in General Education degree that students can complete 100% online, allowing them to earn the first two years of a bachelor's degree on their own schedule.
Students can also earn select bachelor's degrees close to home through UAHT's partnership with the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM). The partnership lets students complete an associate degree at UAHT and continue toward a bachelor's degree from UAM without relocating. Current bachelor's degree options include K-6 Elementary Education and General Business.
Affordability is another major advantage of attending UAHT. The college offers one of the lowest tuition and fee rates in Arkansas, along with numerous scholarship and financial aid opportunities. Residents of eligible border counties in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana also qualify for UAHT's affordable in-state tuition rate.
Through the Arkansas Future Grant (ArFuture), eligible students can earn more than 25 in-demand degrees and certificates at UAHT with tuition and mandatory fees covered. Qualifying programs include cybersecurity, computer and information science, diesel technology, HVAC, industrial electricity, nursing, emergency medical services, welding, teaching, and more.
UAHT also offers the Hempstead Guarantee that covers tuition, mandatory fees, and books for graduates of high schools in Hempstead County, and the Iron Horse Advantage scholarship, which covers tuition, mandatory fees, and textbook rental costs for eligible students during their first year of college. These opportunities make earning a college degree or career-ready credential more affordable than ever.
For students planning to transfer to a four-year university, the Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship provides another valuable opportunity. Eligible students who graduate from UAHT with an associate degree can transfer to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and continue paying UAHT's affordable tuition rate. Bowie County residents are also eligible for this scholarship opportunity.
With campuses in Hope and Texarkana, small class sizes, personalized advising, and a wide range of academic and technical programs, UAHT provides students with the resources and support they need to succeed. Advisors are available to help students explore programs, select classes, understand financial aid options, and develop a plan to reach their educational and career goals.
Students are encouraged to register early, beginning November 3, to secure the classes and schedules that best fit their needs. Classes begin Monday, January 11, 2027. To view available courses, visit www.uaht.edu/academics/course-schedules.php.
