Henry Receives Arkansas State University’s Most Prestigious Scholarship

Tara Henry, a senior at the Hope Collegiate Academy, was announced as a recipient of the Arkansas State University A-State Scholar Scholarship. The scholarship is an Arkansas State University Honors College Scholarship, and only 35 are awarded each year. To qualify for the scholarship, students must have a minimum 31 ACT Superscore score and a high school minimum GPA of 3.500. The A-State Scholar award provides up to $14,000 annually.

Henry said this award gives her an opportunity to pursue higher education in a way she had only dreamed of. “This will significantly aid in my ability to afford college,” she said. “I never thought I would be able to achieve something like this, and it feels so rewarding to see all of the work that I have put in over the years pay off. The instruction and support I received at the collegiate academy helped me immensely in my academic progress to achieve this award.”

About the Hope Collegiate Academy:

The Hope Collegiate Academy is a partnership between the Hope Public School District and the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana. The academy provides students with a three-year curriculum that allows them the opportunity to complete a high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously.
